Project Description:

The project consists of the roofing replacement and the partial HVAC systems replacement at the Lindenwold School #4. The Work includes, but is not limited to, asbestos abatement, new unit ventilators, roofing system replacement, LVT flooring, metal classroom shelving, manufactured plastic-laminate clad casework with solid surfacing counters, maintenance re-painting, acoustical panel ceilings, generator, and fire alarm system replacement.

Approx. Project Duration:

Bidders shall note that long-lead shop drawings are required to be initiated immediately after the issuance of the Section 007100 Notice to Proceed so that those items can be ordered as soon as possible.  Phased construction shall begin on or about 01 April 2026 and shall be substantially completed on or before 31 August 2026 and all Punch List items completed by no later than 07 September 2026.  This Project will be constructed with a phased construction schedule that includes after-school hours work/second shift.  Bidders are to refer to specification section 011000, SUMMARY, for phased construction information.

There is a $25.00 non-refundable fee for the bidding documents, payable by check, credit card, or cash. Checks shall be made payable to Regan Young England Butera.  An electronic copy of the specifications and drawings will be made available to Bidders; hard copies of the bidding documents will not be provided.  Access to the electronic documents will be e-mailed to the Bidder upon receipt of their payment made via credit card purchase online at https://www.ryebread.com/bidding/, or by check delivered to RYEBREAD Architects.  Bidders must provide all of the following information for documents to be sent electronically:

Inquiry Deadline:

Bidders who have received the bidding documents may submit any questions concerning the project to Regan Young England Butera on Section 006001 BIDDER REQUEST FOR INFORMATION included in the Project Manual no later than 1:00 PM 13 February 2025.  The Architect will not respond to questions received by those other than Bidders.

Bidder Requirement:

Contract for work under these bids consist of the greater, or more stringent requirements, of the N.J.S.A. 34:11-56(a) et. seq., (2) comply with equal opportunity laws in accordance with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq., (3) comply with Affirmative Action laws in accordance with N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. and comply with Exhibit B of the Department of the Treasury, Guidelines for Administering EEO in Public Contracts, (4) provide ownership disclosure information per N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, (5) comply with New Jersey Business Registration laws in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and (6) comply with any and all successors, amendments, or additions thereto.  Bidders must comply with all requirements set for in the NJSDA Grant requirements.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of the State of New Jersey Public School Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A.  The withdrawal or modification to a Bid after the bid opening is not permitted. All bid security, except for the security of the three apparent lowest responsible Bidders shall, if requested, be returned after ten days from the opening of the bids, , Sundays, and holidays excepted, and the bids of such Bidders shall be considered as withdrawn.  The Lindenwold Board of Education will return the remaining Bidders security in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-36(a).

The Bids will be opened in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21.  The Board of Education shall publicly receive the bids and thereupon immediately proceed to unseal them and publicly announce the contents, which announcement shall be made in the presence of any parties bidding or their agents who are then and there present.

The LINDENWOLD BOARD OF EDUCATION has the right to award the contracts within sixty (60) days of the bid opening and reserves the right to reject all bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 and to waive non-material informalities or exceptions, as may be permitted by law.

Bidders are advised that the Lindenwold Board of Education reserves the right to cancel this Project at any time due to any unforeseen circumstances that arise in connection with any Public Health Emergency and funding related to same to the extent permitted by any Executive Order and/or legal authority granted due to the Public Health Emergency. By submitting a bid, Bidders waive, on behalf of themselves and their Subcontractors, any potential claim for increased costs, loss of profits, delay damages, or other similar consequential and direct damages incurred due to the Lindenwold Board of Education Termination of the Project as permitted by law.
